MADISON – Today, the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 464 announced their endorsement of Senator Melissa Agard to be the next Dane County Executive.
“Senator Agard has been a longtime champion for Wisconsin’s working families while serving in the Wisconsin State Legislature, and we are confident that as Dane County Executive she will continue to fight for policies that help grow our economy and support the workers who are building it,” said James Foye, Business Manager of LIUNA Local 464. “As a mother of a union tradesperson, Senator Agard knows firsthand what our union members do to build our infrastructure. LIUNA Local 464 wholeheartedly endorses her campaign, and we look forward to working with her as the next Dane County Executive.”

Senator Agard was born and raised in Dane County and is the mother of four sons. She currently represents Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District and served as Senate Democratic Leader from November 2022 until December 2023. Prior to her time in the State Senate, Agard served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and on the Dane County Board.
