MADISON, Wis. — Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1473 announced their endorsement for Tammy Baldwin’s U.S. Senate reelection campaign.

“Tammy has always been a friend to Labor. When COVID hit and our essential workers needed help, Tammy was ready to assist with legislation that protected workers. Whenever we had a difficult time with a government contractor at the bargaining table, Tammy was there,” said UFCW Local 1473 President Jake Bailey. “Tammy is a true Wisconsinite with progressive values who understands the importance of union, family-supporting jobs. The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1473 is proud to endorse Tammy for re-election to the United States Senate.”

“Wisconsin has the best workers in the world who keep our state going strong, that’s why I’ll always work hard to do right by them,” said Tammy Baldwin. “I’m honored to receive the support of the hardworking men and women of the UFCW Local 1473, and I promise that I’ll keep taking on the big fights for our workers every single day.”

Tammy Baldwin has served Wisconsin in the Senate since 2013. She has worked with Republicans and Democrats to take on the biggest fights and win, passing legislation to promote Made in America manufacturing, lower the price of prescription drugs like insulin, and expand health care for veterans. She is the author of the Women’s Health Protection Act which guarantees equal access to abortion everywhere in the United States.
