(Milwaukee, Wis.) – Today, the campaign for Judge Bill Brash’s re-election to District 1 of the Court of Appeals announced dozens of impressive judicial endorsements. From a former Supreme Court Justice to current and former members of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals to active and retired Milwaukee Circuit Court Judges and Commissioners, Chief Judge Brash has earned more than five dozen endorsements in
the judicial community.
“I am overjoyed to endorse Judge Brash in his re-election campaign, his lifetime of service to the people of Milwaukee is something we should all strive for,” said the former Deputy Chief Judge for Milwaukee County David Hansher. “Judge Brash’s more than 33 years on the bench has made Milwaukee, and the rest of Wisconsin, a safe and better place to live, work, and play.”
“It is an honor to have the support of so many of my colleagues during this election,” commented Wisconsin Court of Appeals Chief Judge Bill Brash. “Having so many sitting and former judges put their trust in me, my judicial philosophy, and my demeanor on the bench shows me just how important they are all taking this race. Also endorsing Judge Brash is former Court of Appeals Judge and former Chief Judge of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Judge Kitty K. Brennan. “I wholeheartedly support Chief Judge Bill Brash for reelection to the Court of Appeals.,” said the Honorable Judge Kitty Brennan. “Having worked side-by-side with him on the Court of Appeals, and many years as his colleague on the Circuit Court, I know Judge Brash is extremely well-versed in the law, highly experienced and fair to all sides. We need Judge Brash on the Court of Appeals.”
Chief Judge Brash is running for re-election in District 1 of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Later, moving up to the Circuit Court in Milwaukee, and serving on the bench there for 14 years. Currently, Judge Brash sits on the Court of Appeals and has been since 2015. He was named the Presiding Judge for District 1 in 2019, and has been the Chief Judge for the Court of Appeals since 2021.
District 1 of the Court of Appeals is one of four Court of Appeals districts and is located entirely in Milwaukee county.
