Following the indictment of Donald Trump for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, here’s a reminder that Derrick Van Orden attended the “Stop the Steal” rally and was caught trespassing at the Capitol with his fellow insurrectionists – despite his attempts to deny it.
Just last week, Van Orden screamed at high school Senate pages in the Capitol for what he called “defiling the space,” seemingly forgetting he himself stormed the Capitol and was part of an insurrection that resulted in multiple deaths, 140 officers injured, and millions of dollars in damages.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Derrick Van Orden is a dangerous extremist and Capitol insurrectionist who actively tried to overthrow the U.S. government and overturn a free and fair election. Van Orden has continued to prove to Wisconsinites that he’s unfit for office, and his direct role in trying to overthrow our democracy is nothing short of disqualifying.”
