In the states this week, local news highlighted how President Biden continues working  to deliver on lowering prescription drug costs, with news that two more major drug companies,  Novo Nordisk and Sanofi, are heeding President Biden’s call to cap the price of insulin at $35 a month in line with the Inflation Reduction Act. Sanofi and Novo Nordisk’s actions follow similar decisions by drug manufacturer Eli Lilly, which combined, make up 90% of the insulin market in the United States.

On Wednesday, President Biden traveled to Nevada to discuss how the administration is working to lower costs and building on the progress Democrats made with the Inflation Reduction Act in capping insulin costs for seniors on Medicare at $35 a month. The president also called on MAGA Republicans to stop obstructing and work together to help lower costs.
