MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced a temporary closure of the Groeler Road boat launch along the Rock River in Fort Atkinson.
The closure of this Jefferson County boat launch will allow for needed improvements to the concrete of both the launch and the parking lot.
The temporary closure will be from April 24 – April 28, 2023. DNR staff anticipate that these repairs will not be impacted by the rising water levels and will be completed in time for the 2023 general inland fishing opening day on May 6, 2023.
Rock River anglers should plan to utilize other boat launches within the area. Find alternate launch locations through the DNR’s interactive boat access map.
