The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction today released the following testimonies as prepared for delivery by members of Cabinet at upcoming Joint Committee on Finance listening sessions on the 2023-25 biennial budget. These testimonies are the first two in a series which will continue to advocate for the passage of Gov. Tony Evers’ biennial budget, which provides historic support of public schools and libraries during a time of critical need.
- Investing in Youth Mental Health: Demonstrating how Gov. Evers’ budget directly addresses growing mental health challenges faced by Wisconsin youth.
- Investing in Staff Retention: Demonstrating how Gov. Evers’ budget provides ongoing funding so districts can retain high-quality staff.
