AG Josh Kaul announced a defrocked former cardinal had been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault for an incident that allegedly occurred in April 1977.
Theodore McCarrick, 92, is the second person charged after Kaul's Attorney General's Clergy and Faith Leader Abuse Initiative received a complaint.
