Gov. Tony Evers today unveiled a series of provisions he’ll include in his state budget to help renters, including allowing local governments to impose moratoriums on evictions.
The guv’s release didn’t detail how long the proposed moratorium could last. It was one of several items Evers will include in the budget he unveils Wednesday that he argued would bring more balance to the tenant-landlord relationship.
