MILWAUKEE, WI — Civil legal aid attorney and candidate for Milwaukee Municipal Court Judge Molly Gena today announced a slate of current and former judges who are endorsing her campaign for the Branch two seat.

The judges who have endorsed Molly Gena are: Retired City of Milwaukee Municipal Court Judge James Gramling; Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judges Cynthia Davis, Danielle Shelton, Ellen Brostrom, Katie Kegel, Kori Ashley, Kristela Cervera, Laura Gramling Perez, and Nidhi Kashyap; retired Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judges Rick Sankovitz and Fred Kessler; and retired Court of Appeals Judge Joan Kessler.

“Molly Gena epitomizes the qualities we all want in a judge,” said Judge Gramling. “She is bright, energetic, patient, and committed. How do I know? I have worked with her, and observed her work, for 15 years. Molly Gena truly belongs on the bench.”

“Molly is a skilled and compassionate attorney who deeply understands the municipal court process and the systemic and individual barriers to justice that many litigants face,” said Judge Ashley. “I’ve witnessed firsthand Molly’s commitment to making Milwaukee a better, safer, more equitable city.”

“We need more passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated individuals like Molly Gena on the bench in Milwaukee,” said Judge Shelton. “Molly has dedicated over 15 years of her life to public service as a legal aid attorney and is clearly driven by her commitment to make positive change in her community.”

“I’m extremely honored and humbled to earn the endorsements of so many respected judges,” said Municipal Court Judge candidate Molly Gena. “These endorsements show the strength of my campaign and the support I have from those who know how much I care about serving the people of Milwaukee. I am grateful that these judicial leaders believe that I have the experience, temperament, and thoughtfulness to be the next Milwaukee Municipal Court Judge.”

Gena lives in Milwaukee with her husband, Attorney Raphael Ramos, and their two children.
