A group criticizing members of Congress for supporting employee non-compete contracts launched an ad blasting U.S. Rep. Scott Fitzgerald during Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

The Fight Corporate Monopolies group dropped five figures on the 30-second spot slamming the former state senator for wanting “your boss to control where you work, trapping you, and siding with corporations.”

Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, is one of four the group is targeting with cable TV ads in their districts for opposing the Workforce Mobility Act, which would designate non-compete agreements an unfair, deceptive trade practice, barring employers from requiring them.

The ad so far only aired Monday night, but a spokesperson for the group told WisPolitics.com it will likely air it again later.

The narrator ends the spot urging him to “stand with Wisconsin workers, not corporate monopolies.”
