JFC approves $125 million to fight PFAS


The Joint Finance Committee late Thursday approved investing $125 million to combat PFAS -- but left the details of how to spend the money for a trailer bill introduced just this week.

Dems slammed the GOP plan -- which exceeds what Dem Gov. Tony Evers wanted to spend by $18 million -- because there will be no guarantee in the budget that the money will be spent. The trailer bill would have to be signed into law before any of it goes out the door, they noted.
