February 22, 2023 – Whitefish Bay, WI – Jodi Habush Sinykin, Democratic candidate for State Senate District 8, kicked off her general election campaign today against Representative Dan Knodl, by focusing on her moderate forward-thinking priorities.

“Dan Knodl’s views on women’s reproductive rights are too extreme for our purple district. He is intent on placing women’s lives and health in jeopardy by supporting the 1849 abortion ban,” said Habush Sinykin. “Wisconsin women are making it known loud and clear that we, as citizens, deserve the same access to reproductive healthcare as women living in our neighboring states.”

“Dan Knodl is out of touch with the voters he is trying to represent.” Habush Sinykin added, “We need a State Senator that will work to improve the lives of the residents of the 8th, not someone that’s going to Madison to pick divisive political fights. I will prioritize the issues that our constituents care about: protecting women’s reproductive rights, keeping our communities safe, creating good-paying jobs, and reducing the tax burden on working Wisconsinites.”

Jodi Habush Sinykin is a local community leader, respected attorney, and a mother of four. Having grown up in Fox Point, Jodi now resides in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin with her husband, Dan. She is running to replace now retired State Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills), who retired from the Wisconsin State Senate in December, 2022.

The General Election for State Senate District 8 will be held on April 4, 2023. For more information about Jodi Habush Sinykin’s campaign visit www.Jodiforsenate.com.
