Milwaukee – Supreme Court candidate Justice Daniel Kelly released the following statement after allegations of domestic abuse were made against Judge Janet Protasiewicz by the son of her ex-husband. Protasiewicz was 34 when she married a 70-year-old retired Milwaukee judge Patrick Madden. Michael Madden said his former stepmother, Janet Protasiewicz, would routinely slap and push his father, Protasiewicz’s then-husband.
“The late Judge Madden was a highly regarded and well-respected Wisconsin jurist. These abuse allegations against Janet Protasiewicz are troubling to say the least. Wisconsinites deserve a swift and full explanation,” Justice Kelly said.
