MADISON, Wis. β Today, the Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus joined Governor Tony Evers to raise the Progress Pride Flag over the Capitol and introduced a resolution honoring LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The members released the following statement:
βIt is a great day to be a Wisconsinite.
βAs we raise the Pride Flag over the Wisconsin State Capitol for the fifth time in history and re-introduce our resolution honoring LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to making Wisconsin a welcoming, accepting, and inclusive place for everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. The symbolism of this moment is not lost on us, especially as attacks against LGBTQ+ rights and individuals have increased across the country.
βAs out LGBTQ+ legislators, we are dedicated to introducing and fighting for legislation to provide equal rights and protections for all LGBTQ+ Wisconsinites.

βWe would like to sincerely thank Governor Evers for once again recognizing the importance of raising the flag and proclaiming June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month. We will continue to work with Governor Evers, our legislative colleagues, and allies to do whatβs best for everyone in our state.β
