LeMahieu threatens to scuttle Milwaukee sales tax proposal unless Evers accepts ‘last, best’ shared revenue offer

Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu was threatening to walk away from a proposal to allow Milwaukee County and the city to impose new sales taxes unless the guv accepted Republicans' "last, best offer" on shared revenue.
LeMahieu, R-Oostburg, issued the threat last yesterday afternoon, setting a deadline of the end of the night for Dem Gov. Tony Evers to accept the proposals.
