I will start this letter of gratitude where I started the campaign. I still believe that justice isn’t just what you say, it’s also what you do. My wife and I traveled across our beautiful state of Wisconsin over the last year, hugging, smiling, laughing and renewing hope. Our time is coming.

Yesterday was John Lewis’ 83rd Birthday. A trailblazer, a leader, a freedom rider, a student activist, a congressman. I will spend the rest of my life reflecting on his words, “Ours is not the struggle of one day, one week, or one year. Ours is not the struggle of one judicial appointment or presidential term. Ours is the struggle of a lifetime, or maybe even many lifetimes, and each one of us in every generation must do our part.”

I want to thank every one of my supporters who donated their time and their talents to our cause. I am deeply grateful to you. But the fight continues, the march of progress can not be halted by temporary setbacks. We will have our day in the future, our day when we will know victory. And it’ll be a day that we share together, each one of us.

Congratulations to Judge Protasiewicz on advancing to the April 4th General Election. Let us rally behind her and commit to the spirit of progress to ensure a progressive voice will guide the future of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. God Bless.
