GREEN BAY, Wis. — On Broadway, Inc. is announcing a robust lineup of diverse artists that will perform at the Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series this season.

An open house will be held Tuesday, May 30 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the Titletown Brewing Co. rooftop. The media and public is invited to attend with official announcements and remarks beginning at 5 p.m.

Speakers will include Mayor Eric Genrich, City of Green Bay; Brian Johnson, executive director, On Broadway, Inc.; Allie Thut, director of special events, On Broadway, Inc.; Raphael Moreno, DEI programming and special events intern, On Broadway, Inc.; Gaby Gamboa, general manager/radio personality, La Mas Grande; and Rashad Cobb, chief operating officer, Brown County United Way.

The purpose of the Levitt AMP Music Series is to bring the joy of free, live music to people of all ages and backgrounds, transforming underused public spaces into thriving community destinations. On Broadway, Inc. developed a committee and hype team to serve as co-creators and ambassadors of this event.

“It has been so fulfilling to engage the community throughout the creation of this event,” said Allie Thut, director of special events, On Broadway, Inc. “We have been very intentional about asking for input from our committee members with every decision pertaining to the planning of this concert series. The many diverse voices offering value, experience, and unique perspectives is creating an event that is new, exciting and different from anything else you have experienced in the Broadway District to date.”

“This event was curated with an eye towards equity and inclusion by a committee representing all corners of our community,” said Brian Johnson, executive director, On Broadway, Inc. “We believe in the mission of the Levitt Foundation that highlights the power of free live music as a way to bring people together while activating underutilized public spaces. This series was created by working with our community, not for them. These are all professionally recorded musicians that will offer sounds and placemaking activities that entice our community to learn about one another by cross-pollinating cultures in a meaningful way.”

Green Bay received a $90,000 match grant from the Levitt Foundation to create a 10 week FREE concert series in Leicht Park over the course of three years. Green Bay is now part of a national network of Levitt AMP concert sites in 2023 strengthening communities through music.

The series aims to bring area residents together and activate a public space for all to enjoy original live music with an emphasis on arts and culture.
