ICYMI – Following a decisive pro-choice victory in Ohio, NewsNation’s Leland Vittert interviewed Progress Action Fund Founder Joe Jacobson yesterday, who created the viral ad “Keep Republicans Out Of Your Bedroom.” Jacobson teased a sequel to the ad that will be released ahead of the November elections in Ohio, where voters will decide whether or not to enshrine reproductive freedom into the state constitution.

In the run up to the Ohio election on August 8, Progress Action Fund launched “Keep Republicans Out Of Your Bedroom,” which shows a Republican representative entering a couple’s bedroom to take away their birth control. The ad received tens of millions of views and received praise from across the political spectrum, with Newsmax calling it “funny,” “creepy,” and “creative,” and MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace stating the ad should be an instant finalist for the “political ad hall of fame.” Issue 1, which was crafted by Republicans to stop efforts to protect reproductive rights and to implement their 6-week abortion ban, failed by a margin of 57% to 43%.
