MADISON…Assembly Republican Majority Leader Tyler August (R-Lake Geneva) released the following statement following the passage of the historic shared revenue package:

“The legislation passed by the Assembly today represents a compromise that we have been negotiating in good faith between the governor and the Senate. I’d also like to thank Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley for their efforts.

The resulting package not only makes historic investments in local government, but also focuses on innovation, reform, and public safety.  The financial incentives included in the bill will encourage more efficient government through cost savings and consolidation.”
