MADISON… Assembly Majority Leader Tyler August (R-Lake Geneva) released the following statement in reaction to opposition to Assembly Bill (AB) 322.  AB 322 comprises the agreement negotiated between the state of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association.

“I was extremely disappointed that the members of the self-proclaimed Democratic-Socialist caucus voted against law enforcement today.   Our police selflessly put their lives on the line every day to serve their communities.

All Assembly Republicans continue to be proud to back the badge and voted to get these law enforcement officers the raises they have earned.  This vote demonstrates how out of touch the Democrat party has become as they continue their defund the police movement.”
