MADISON, Wis. – After being sworn in for his second term in the State Assembly earlier this afternoon, State Rep. Samba Baldeh (D-Madison) released the following statement:

“I am honored and humbled to once again take the oath of office to serve my community as the State Representative for the 48th Assembly District. Being elected to serve this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I am looking forward to working alongside my colleagues and Governor Evers this Session to address the many issues facing our state.

This Session, I am pleased to have been appointed to the Assembly Committee on Local Government (as ranking Democrat), the Assembly Committee on State Affairs, and the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means, as well as the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules and the Joint Committee on Information Policy and Technology (as ranking Democrat). As a member of these committees, I look forward to digging into the details of some of the most impactful legislation that will come before us this Session.

Again, I am honored to continue to serve the 48th District, I am excited to tackle the challenges facing our communities, and I look forward to seeing my constituents at the Capitol and in the community over the next two years!”
