MADISON, Wis. – Representative Clinton Anderson issued the following statement after Governor Evers’ State of the State Address.

“Governor Evers showed that Wisconsin is heading in the right direction but has work to do. He and I share similar visions regarding several issues including increasing support for mental health services, addressing the significant underfunding of public safety, and protecting our water from PFAS.”

“I strongly support Governor Evers’ plan to send up to 20% of the state’s sales tax revenue back to our communities. This will provide more than half a billion dollars per year to address the drastic shortfalls local governments face. Communities like Brodhead and Orfordville are facing significant challenges funding fire and EMS. Governor Evers’ plan will address that.”:

Anderson looks forward to partnering with the Evers administration to build on the progress of his first term in office.
