Madison – Today, Representative Barbara Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc) is honored to be named as a member of the Speaker’s Taskforce on Human Trafficking. The goal of the newly created, bipartisan taskforce is to create a society where the safety and well-being of every person are paramount and where exploitation has no place.
“I am honored to be named to this imperative committee. By addressing these issues, we are seeking to make Wisconsin a safer place to live and help victims of these horrendous crimes to heal,” shared Rep. Dittrich.
The committee will be exploring innovative solutions to:
- combat human trafficking through prevention
- supporting and empowering survivors
- prosecuting traffickers
Rep. Dittrich is thrilled to join Rep. O’Connor and Rep. Emerson along-with friends and colleagues on both sides of the aisle, listed here: https://www.wispolitics.com/2023/speaker-vos-announces-members-of-task-forces/.
“As a mother who values every person, every life, I look forward to hearing more from experts, advocates, and victims on ways to confront this evil that exists in every one of our Wisconsin counties,” concluded Rep. Dittrich.
