MADISON, Wis. – Today, Representative Jodi Emerson (D-Eau Claire) joined her colleagues in the Wisconsin State Legislature by taking the oath of office for her third term.

Rep Emerson will serve on the following committees during the 2023-2024 legislative session:

Colleges and Universities (ranking), Rural Development (ranking), Criminal Justice and Public Safety and Housing and Real Estate.

Following the swearing in ceremony, Representative Emerson released the following statement:

“I’m honored to continue to represent the 91st Assembly District. I am grateful to my community for putting their trust in me to be a voice for them in Madison.

“I’m hopeful that with the start of a new session we will be able to focus our attention on what matters most: ensuring the well- being of our children, protecting access to clean water, sustaining good paying jobs, and giving our citizens every opportunity to be successful. These are the goals that inspired me to run for office in the first place, and I will continue to strive to meet these goals as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

“The opportunity to represent the 91st Assembly District and the people of Eau Claire is an honor that I take seriously, and I will continue to work tirelessly on their behalf.”
