MADISON, Wis. – State Rep. Evan Goyke (D-Milwaukee) was sworn in today for his sixth term representing the 18th Assembly District.  Rep. Goyke participated in the inauguration ceremony for the State Legislature at the State Capitol.

“I am honored to continue to represent the community that I love,” Rep. Goyke said.

“I am humbled that my neighbors and fellow community members have placed their trust and confidence in me to represent them in the legislature.”

“This session my legislative priorities will include bi-partisan legislation related to: long-term local government funding solutions, particularly for the City of Milwaukee & Milwaukee County, infrastructure improvements to reduce reckless driving and improve bike/pedestrian safety, and continuing to improve our juvenile and adult criminal justice systems.”

During the 2023-24 legislative session, Rep. Goyke will serve as the Ranking Democrat on the powerful Joint Committee on Finance.

Rep. Goyke lives in Milwaukee and currently resides in the Historic Concordia Neighborhood with his wife Gaby, son Miguel, and family dog Pistachio.
