Madison – Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) issued the following statement after Governor Evers signed two of his bills, Senate Bill 105, which would allow signs along snowmobile trails that advertise nearby businesses, and Senate Bill 109, which would allow the operation of an ATV or UTV owned by an electric co-op on a highway:

“Both of these bills will have a tremendous impact on Northern Wisconsin. SB 105 is important when it comes to public safety and economic prosperity. This bill will ensure the public safety of snowmobile riders within the state of Wisconsin and the safety of tourists that come to Wisconsin while maintaining that economic impact.

“When it comes to SB 109, ATVs or UTVs have become essential for public utilities to conduct power line maintenance, construction, and restoration of power. These vehicles have the ability to traverse rough terrain with low environmental impact and can carry tools, equipment, and workers into areas not accessible by truck.

“I was happy to see that Governor Evers saw the impact that these bills would have!”
