Madison, WI – Representative Rick Gundrum (R-Slinger) was sworn-in today to serve another term in the Wisconsin State Assembly. After the floor session, he issued the following statement:

“It is a pleasure to serve another term in the Wisconsin State Assembly. I thank the people of the 58th Assembly District for again placing their trust in me as their state representative. Wisconsin faces many challenges that need to be addressed.

“My priorities will include additional tax cuts and investments in our workforce to support families and businesses during these difficult economic times. I will continue to advocate for parental rights and transparency in our education system. More must also be done to reverse the decline in our state’s language arts and math proficiency so that Wisconsin has best the students in the United States.

“I look forward to working with my legislative colleagues and Governor Tony Evers to find common ground on the issues that matter the most to Wisconsinites so that we may move our state forward.”

Representative Gundrum and his colleagues passed three resolutions to approve the Assembly organization, committee structure, and session schedule.
