MADISON- Today Chairman Robert Van Zile Jr. of the Sokaogon Chippewa Community delivered the 19th State of the Tribes address. Representative Jacobson (D-Oregon) released the following statement:
“Thank you to the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council (GLITC) and Chair Robert Van Zile Jr. for the State of the Tribes address. Hearing from tribal leaders about the state of the Tribes, their needs, and plans for the future is important for collaboration and to keep Wisconsin moving forward.”
“Chair Van Zile spoke about investing in critical infrastructure, like access to healthcare facilities and rural emergency services, as well as mental health care and conservation of our land and water resources.”
