Madison – Rep. Dan Knodl (R-Germantown) issued the following statement this morning upon receiving complaints from constituents that the Wisconsin Elections Commission’s MyVote website was carrying inaccurate information related to the 8th Senate District:
“This morning, I received three disturbing complaints from constituents that the ‘Find My Elected Officials’ tool at MyVote.wi.gov is telling residents of the 8th Senate District that Jodi Habush Sinykin is their State Senator. My staff were able to confirm the constituents’ story using my address.”
“The people of Wisconsin deserve accurate information from their state government. Someone at the Elections Commission appears to be engaging in election denialism. The citizens of Wisconsin need to know that the people who administer their elections are trustworthy and that their systems are secure. I am demanding a full investigation into this matter and the persons responsible.”
The results of the 8th Senate District special election were officially certified last Thursday, April 20th.
