MADISON, Wis. — Rep. Neubauer released the following statement:
“It breaks my heart to learn that Ada Deer has passed away. Ada worked for years to build a better state and country for all of us, and I feel incredibly lucky to have known her and to have celebrated with her earlier this month as she turned 88.
“As a champion for Native Americans, women, and all of us in Wisconsin, the effects of her work will continue to ripple out for many generations to come. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones as they reflect on her life and honor her legacy.”
