Pewaukee – Today State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) issued the following statement after supporting legislation to protect consumer choices:
“Today I voted in support of Assembly Bills 141 and 142, which simply prohibit state and local governments from restricting the sale or use of motor vehicles and other items based on their source of energy. This legislation will protect Wisconsin consumers from a growing trend of states banning gas-powered motor vehicles, stoves, lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc. This legislation also protects those who wish to buy electric or hybrid vehicles rather than gas-powered.
“Consumer choice is what drives the free market, and the free market is what drives progress. Restricting consumer options will force consumers into buying unaffordable and potentially unreliable solutions.”
