Madison, WI – Rep. Treig E. Pronschinske released the following statement in anticipation of the joint hearing with the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Sporting Heritage that will be taking place on August 31st, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 at the Park Falls City Hall in Park Falls, WI regarding deer density issues in Northern Wisconsin:
“Senator Stafsholt and I are eager about the opportunity to hear the concerns of Northern Wisconsinites in regards to their deer population issues. There is growing concern from residents in northern counties that deer prevalence is not at the numbers it used to be. We want the citizens worries heard and listened to.
“We are also bringing in the DNR to discuss sensible solutions that will curb the crisis up north. My colleagues and I believe the combination of the DNR and the voices of local residents will lead us to a judicious resolution on this matter. I always invite feedback and the opportunity to put good ideas in motion. We have that chance tomorrow.”
