MADISON – On January 3rd, Representative Shelia Stubbs (D-Madison) was sworn in to the 2023-24 session of the Wisconsin State Assembly by Governor Tony Evers. Following the swearing in, Rep.Stubbs (D-Madison) issued the following statement:
 
“I am thrilled to swear in for a third term representing the wonderful 77th Assembly District of Wisconsin. Since 2018, I have had the honor to represent this district, which spans the West and South parts of Madison and the Village of Shorewood Hills. As we enter this term, I look forward upholding my commitment to the people of the 77th and to all Wisconsinites to fight for equity in our state.”
 
“Our legislators occupy a unique position that gives them the ability to shape the communities we live within. We must not forget that these leaders are elected by the people to work for the people. Thus, my duty is to serve the public by fighting for their needs to be met and their rights respected. In my third term, I will continue my efforts to make impactful change in our state, taking on the issues that matter to our people and our communities.”
