MILWAUKEE–At the Milwaukee Delegation meeting held last Friday, Rep. Robyn Vining was unanimously elected to serve as chair of the Milwaukee Delegation of Democratic State Legislators for the 2023-2024 biennium. In addition to her election as Chair, Rep. Supreme Moore Omokunde was unanimously elected to serve as Vice-Chair, and Sen. Chris Larson was unanimously elected Secretary of the Milwaukee Delegation. In response to her election, Representative Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa) released the following statement:

“I am honored to have the trust of my fellow Milwaukee Democratic legislators to lead our delegation for the next two years. Milwaukee and Milwaukee County are facing unprecedented challenges that need to be addressed in the next state budget, and failure to address these fiscal challenges will cause a chain reaction that will reverberate throughout the state.  I look forward to using the time and resources of the Milwaukee Delegation to work with legislators, local officials, stakeholders, and neighbors to advocate for the needs of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County during the budget process and throughout the legislative session.”
