[Milwaukee, WI] – Reproductive Justice Action – Milwaukee (RJA-M) is demanding that Milwaukee District Attorney, John Chisholm, sign a pledge stating he and his office will not prosecute any abortion cases in Milwaukee County. When the 1849 law banning all abortions took effect in Wisconsin in June of 2022, John Chisholm made a public statement saying he would not prosecute abortions in Milwaukee. RJA-M is holding John Chisholm and his office accountable to ensure the safety of residents and healthcare providers in Milwaukee County. We demand that he sign a written pledge committing to this agreement as we fight to make Milwaukee, and eventually the entire state of Wisconsin, an abortion sanctuary.

Please join Reproductive Justice Action – Milwaukee (RJA-M) for a press conference and rally on Wednesday, January 18th, at 6:30pm outside the Milwaukee County Safety Building (821 W State St Milwaukee, WI) as we announce this pledge and demand John Chisholm sign it immediately. We also demand that John Chisholm work alongside the Wisconsin Attorney General, Josh Kaul, who is working to repeal State Statute 940.04 which currently outlaws all abortion in Wisconsin. Everyone is welcome to join us outside the Milwaukee County Safety Building to demand action from Milwaukee’s District Attorney to keep Milwaukeeans safe.

Reproductive Justice Action – Milwaukee (RJA-M) is a new grassroots organization in Milwaukee focused on fighting for Reproductive Justice for all humans. We stand in opposition of the system(s) that deny human rights to any person regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation.
