MADISON –Senate Democratic Leader Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement on the passing of former Governor Tony Earl:
“Today, we mourn the passing of Tony Earl who served as Governor of Wisconsin from 1983-1987. Prior to serving as Governor, Tony Earl led the Department of Natural Resources and was a true steward of Wisconsin’s land, air, and waterways, leading the charge to address surface water pollution in the state. I am thinking of Governor Earl’s family and friends during this time and join Wisconsinites mourning the loss of this great public servant.”
