WISCONSIN – Tomorrow, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin is launching her Delivering for Wisconsin Tour to highlight her work to deliver results to every corner of the state. Senator Baldwin will kick off the tour this week with stops in Green Bay, Wausau, Eau Claire, Durand, and La Crosse.

“Whether it’s cutting the cost of prescription drugs, investing in roads, bridges, broadband, and clean water, or boosting our Made in Wisconsin economy, I’m proud to deliver for the people of Wisconsin,” said Senator Baldwin. “I’ve worked hard to make sure every Wisconsinite can live a safe, healthy life, has access to a good-paying job, and is able to retire with security and dignity, and am excited to continue traveling the state to see how my work is helping move our state forward.”

On Monday, Senator Baldwin will kick off the Delivering for Wisconsin Tour in Green Bay to highlight her work delivering resources to help Wisconsin address the mental health crisis and provide those in need with help. Senator Baldwin will discuss her work creating and supporting the 988 Suicide and Crisis Prevent Line with Governor Evers, local officials, and mental health care providers. Senator Baldwin introduced the legislation that created the new three-digit hotline, which went live in July, and she successfully fought to include over $3 million in this year’s budget to support implementation in Wisconsin.

Senator Baldwin will visit Wausau on Tuesday to discuss how the Fire Department is using federal dollars to hire additional staff to meet the needs of the greater Wausau area. Senator Baldwin will discuss her work to support local fire departments across the state and help communities stay safe, including her support for the Fire Grants and Safety Act, which provides local fire departments resources to address staffing needs, purchase equipment, and improve emergency services.

On Wednesday, Senator Baldwin will travel to Eau Claire to spotlight her work expanding access to workforce development programs, addressing the labor shortage, and creating good paying jobs. Senator Baldwin will be hosting a roundtable to discuss her work helping deliver a nearly $5 million grant that is being used to expand access to workforce training to increase the number of health care professionals in rural communities across the state.

On Thursday, she will visit Durand and La Crosse to highlight resources she brought home to Wisconsin to increase public safety and address the mental health crisis. Senator Baldwin will be in Durand to hear about how $916,000 she delivered for EMS infrastructure improvements will better serve surrounding communities. Senator Baldwin will also host a roundtable on mental health in La Crosse, highlighting federal funds she delivered to expand behavioral health services, including outreach, education, equipment and technology.
