Madison, Wis. — Today, the 106th session of the Wisconsin Legislature officially began with the inauguration of elected officials.

“It is an honor for me to officially begin my service as the state senator from the 19th senate district,” said Cabral-Guevara. “I’m looking forward to representing hardworking families across the Fox Valley and bringing their voice to our State Capitol. My office will always be open to anyone with ideas on how to make our community a better place, so please do not hesitate to reach out.”

The Xavier High School band provided the musical entertainment for the Wisconsin State Senate Inauguration. The Neenah Community Band played during the statewide officer inauguration ceremony.

“I was ecstatic to have both Xavier and the Neenah Community Band join us today and want to thank them for making the trip down to Madison. They did an amazing job and represented our area well.”

During the 106th session, Senator Cabral-Guevara will serve as chair of the Senate Committee on Health and vice chair of the Senate Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Children and Families.

“As chair of the Senate Committee on Health, I’m ready to fight for affordable, accessible health care here in Wisconsin. Even with divided government, I know we can work in a bi-partisan way to get things done for the people of Wisconsin.”
