Madison, WI – Today, Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac), released the following statement after Governor Evers signed a pair of bills into law that will provide funding for maintenance, rehabilitation, and upkeep of the 22 year old Brewers stadium.

“Major League baseball will played right here in Wisconsin until at least 2050. This is incredible news and I could not be happier that we were able to get this bill across the finish line.

“I want to thank the principal owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, Mark Attanasio, for his commitment to Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin; Governor Evers for his leadership on the bill, and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for their time and hard work making this a reality.

“Since 2001, American Family Field has contributed $2.5 billion to the state’s economy. This resulted in $24 million in net state revenue and 3,000 jobs in 2022 alone. The bills signed into law today keep the Brewers and their tremendous economic impact here in Wisconsin without raising state tax dollars a penny.

“This is a great deal for baseball fans, a great deal for taxpayers, and a great deal for the State of Wisconsin.”
