Madison- Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu (R-Oostburg) announced that over 200 of Governor Evers’ appointments have been referred to the appropriate committees. This begins the process for consideration of the appointees.

“We wanted to get the process underway for the consideration of the Governor’s appointees,” said Leader LeMahieu. “They will go through the committee process. We will look to the committees to thoroughly vet each of the nominees during this process.”

Being referred to committee does not guarantee that the nominee will be confirmed. Leader LeMahieu has discussed with the Governor the interest in moving on the appointments. The next steps will take place at the committee level.
