Madison, WI – Today, Governor Evers and legislative Democrats held a press conference at the Wisconsin State Capitol to introduce legislation to repeal the 1849 criminal abortion ban and restore the protections of Roe v. Wade. State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) issued the following statement on restoring reproductive rights in Wisconsin:
“Anything less than a full repeal of the 1849 Wisconsin criminal abortion ban is unacceptable. Wisconsinites and their families deserve the freedom to make these deeply personal decisions on reproductive health care without government interference.”
