Madison, WI – Today, the Senate Committee on Transportation and Local Government held an executive session on the Agriculture Road Improvement Program, Senate Bill 247. State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) voted in favor of the bill and issued the following statement after the vote:

“The economic success of agriculture relies upon a strong transportation system, but for too long, our rural roads and bridges have not seen enough investment. As a cosponsor of the Agriculture Road Improvement Program, I’m proud to have voted for its passage today.”

“This moves our rural roads and bridges in the right direction and will help our farmers more efficiently transport their product to market.”
