Madison, WI – Wisconsin State Senator Cory Tomczyk (R-Mosinee) issued the following statement regarding the Governor’s State of the State Address.

“Last night I attended my first State of the State address. While I appreciated hearing from Governor Evers, now the real work begins. My colleagues and I will ensure Wisconsin remains on the right track. Wisconsin’s substantial budget surplus should not be used to increase government bureaucracy but to lower taxes, fight crime, and ensure Wisconsin remains open for business.

The Republican Legislature has worked for over a decade to make sure our fiscal house is in order. I will stand in the way of Governor Evers and his attempts to recklessly spend and grow government.”
