De Pere, Wis.: St. Norbert College will hold its annual Soul Food Dinner on Friday, Feb. 3, at 5:15 p.m., (doors open at 4:30 p.m.) in Michels Ballroom, 409 Third St. on the college campus. This event is open to the public. Tickets are $14 for the general public and $12 for students. Children 4 and under are free. Families are encouraged to attend. Tickets may be purchased online at snc.edu/go/soul-food or by calling the St. Norbert College box office at 920-403-3950.
    This annual celebration will feature gifts in African American scholarship, food and music. The keynote speaker will be Maurice Thomas, president of Forward 48. Forward 48 is a leadership development program based out of Milwaukee.

    Food will be served buffet-style and will consist of southern-style cuisine, including fried southern chicken, red rice, southern mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread, sweet-potato pie and peach cobbler. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Poet 22.
