In early June 2022, McGivern and his “Main Streets” Plum Media video crew were on the St. Norbert campus. The TV presenter of the popular Milwaukee PBS program “Around the Corner with John McGivern,” spent three days in De Pere reporting on the city.

McGivern is a five-time Emmy award-winning actor and host. Enjoyed by a nationwide audience, his unique brand of storytelling is expanding across the Midwest.

When the De Pere episode of “Main Streets” airs statewide on PBS Wisconsin on Jan. 26, those familiar with the St. Norbert campus and its neighborhood will recognize other iconic De Pere locations. McGivern and his crew stopped by the Union Hotel, Seroogy’s, Luna Coffee and more.

McGivern, along with PBS Wisconsin who distributes the show, will be on hand during the premiere to talk about the De Pere segment. There will be a Q&A with McGivern and producer/director Lois Maurer. St. Norbert College Interim President Thomas Kunkel will also say a few words. There will be time to mix and mingle before and after the premiere.
