WASHINGTON, DC – Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) today released the statement below following reports that the Administration has now confirmed the presence of a CCP spy facility in Cuba.
“Why did the Biden Administration previously deny these reports of a CCP spy base in Cuba? Why did they downplay the “silly” CCP spy balloon? Without a coherent explanation, we must conclude they are deliberately misleading the American people and whitewashing CCP aggression in order to revive the counterproductive strategy of engagement. This is a dishonest triumph of delusion over experience.”
