“Tonight, after an arduous week of deliberation, the House of Representatives elected Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to serve as Speaker of the House, said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. There was no other candidate better fit to lead the Republican Conference and I am pleased to congratulate Speaker McCarthy on his election to lead the People’s House.
