WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) released the following statement on the repeal of the 1991 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMF).
“Although I’m sympathetic with the desire to repeal the 32- and 21-year-old AUMFs, while we still have men and women in harm’s way, I cannot support any action that might lead our enemy to believe that we will not do everything we can to protect them.”
