Registration is open for Small Business Clinics offered through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The events will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 17, in Eau Claire and Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Menomonie.

Both pop-up clinics are free of charge and offer confidential one-on-one consulting services and a Wisconsin Tax Seminar for New Businesses by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Attendees also can register for assistance in the following areas:

  • QuickBooks.
  • Marketing.
  • Financials.
  • General startup issues.
  • Wisconsin tax questions.

Clients can set up a 30-minute appointment with the experts of their choice in the areas listed above.

UW-Eau Claire junior Allison Kind, a human resource management major from Watertown, Minnesota, is a student consultant with the SBDC and is pleased to announce these valuable opportunities to area small business owners and entrepreneurs.

“We are looking to assist anyone interested in starting or growing their small business,” Kind says. “Whether you need assistance with financial projections, bookkeeping, building a brand or just getting started, the SBDC Small Business Clinics are a great resource, so please join us.”

  • Eau Claire clinic: Appointments are available from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the SBDC office at 221 W. Madison St., Suite 110A in Eau Claire.
  • Menomonie clinic: Appointments are available from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the WESTconsin Credit Union Menomonie Business Center at 3333 Schneider Ave. SE in Menomonie.
